TK English Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) outline the rules governing your use of TK English’s services (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking lessons or using our online teaching services, you (“the student”) agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

TK English offers online English language lessons conducted via Zoom. These live, interactive lessons include customized materials and assignments designed to improve your English skills.

  • Lesson Duration: Each lesson is 28 minutes long.

2. Booking and Scheduling

2.1 Booking Lessons

  • Lessons can be booked through our website or by contacting us directly.
  • All bookings must be confirmed and paid for before a lesson can be scheduled.

2.2 Lesson Scheduling

  • After booking, you will receive a Zoom link and access to lesson materials.
  • You are responsible for attending lessons at the scheduled time.

2.3 Rescheduling or Cancellation

  • To cancel or reschedule, you must notify us at least 1 hour before the scheduled lesson.
  • If proper notice is given, we will arrange a new lesson time.
  • Lessons canceled with less than 1 hour’s notice or missed without notice will still be charged.

3. Fees and Payments

3.1 Payment for Lessons

  • Payment is required before the lesson begins, unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • Payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors.

3.2 No Refund Policy

  • Lessons already purchased may not be refunded, but may be rescheduled following the rescheduling protocol.

3.3 Lesson Fees

  • The fees for individual lessons or lesson packages will be provided at the time of booking.
  • Fees are subject to change, but you will be informed of any updates prior to booking.

4. Recording of Lessons

4.1 Student Recording

  • Students may record lessons for personal use, but must inform the teacher in advance.
  • Recordings are for personal review and may not be shared without explicit permission.

4.2 Teacher Recording

  • If a student misses a lesson or fails to provide required notice for cancellation, the teacher will record the session and send it to the student.
  • Recordings are for educational purposes only.

5. Use of Materials

5.1 Lesson Materials

  • Students will be provided with interactive lesson materials, which are for personal educational use only.
  • These materials may not be shared, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior permission.

5.2 Ownership of Content

  • All lesson content, including worksheets, presentations, and other materials provided by TK English, remains the property of TK English.
  • Students are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these materials solely for their personal education.

6. Student Behavior and Expectations

6.1 Respectful Conduct

  • Students must behave respectfully and professionally during lessons.
  • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate termination of the lesson without a refund.

6.2 Attendance

  • Students are expected to attend lessons on time. If a student is late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time, and no extra time will be provided.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

7.1 Personal Data

  • We collect and store personal information, such as contact details and lesson-related data, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • We will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as needed to provide services (e.g., payment processing).

7.2 Confidentiality

  • Information shared during lessons is confidential.
  • Recordings of lessons will only be shared with the student for educational purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 No Guarantee of Results

  • While TK English strives to provide high-quality lessons, we do not guarantee specific results such as grade improvements or language fluency. Progress depends on the student’s individual effort.

8.2 Technical Issues

  • TK English is not responsible for any technical issues that may prevent or disrupt the delivery of lessons, including internet connectivity problems or platform failures beyond our control.

9. Modification of Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any updates will be posted on our website with the revised effective date. It is the student’s responsibility to periodically review these Terms.

10. Termination

10.1 By the Student

  • Lessons already purchased may not be refunded, but may be rescheduled following the rescheduling protocol.
  • You may terminate your account at any time by notifying us via email or through our website.

10.2 By TK English

  • We reserve the right to terminate our services or cancel a student’s lessons if the student violates these Terms, engages in disruptive behavior, or fails to meet the expectations outlined in these Terms.
